Clasado Biosciences is celebrating more awards success, as its Bimuno® GOS prebiotic ingredient has been shortlisted at the 2025 NutraIngredients Asia awards in the Ingredient of the Year – Sports Nutrition category.

The shortlisting follows success at the NutraIngredients USA Awards 2025, where Bimuno GOS received top honours in the same category, backed by a growing body of evidence showing its potential role in sports and active health applications. Winners of the Asia edition will be announced at a ceremony on 17th September, held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Per Rehne, CEO at Clasado, said: “We are delighted that once again, Bimuno® GOS is being recognised as a leading choice of prebiotic ingredient for formulators around the world. This shortlisting, as well as our recent success at the US edition of the awards, underlines the global recognition of our sports nutrition research and its commercial potential.

“There is an exciting body of clinical evidence that highlights how the gut microbiome, and the trillions of bacteria that live there, can support fitness and athletic performance. Studies with elite rugby players, for example, showed that Bimuno GOS reduced upper respiratory symptom duration by 24%, whilst new research with football players demonstrated reduced gastrointestinal symptoms during high-intensity exercise in challenging heat conditions. These findings directly address two major factors that can disrupt training consistency and competitive performance.”

The NutraIngredients Asia Awards celebrate innovation and excellence across the APAC region’s flourishing nutritional ingredients industry, with entries evaluated by an expert panel of industry professionals and researchers.
